Sounds New is a first-class ensemble devoted to the performance of new music from the Bay Area and elsewhere. Individually and collectively they are sure of themselves technically, and are able to communicate with subtlety and understanding.
Andrew Imbrie, composer
The performance of my music on the "Sounds New" concert was a delight. I was privileged to hear my music played expertly, in a most congenial and informal atmosphere high in the Berkeley hills, by an ensemble whose members are committed, dedicated and sensitive, before a warm, knowledgeable and appreciative audience. A memorable experience! Allcomposers should be this fortunate.
Elliott Schwartz, composer
